We have been working on an exciting project in Singapore for a new build home. A-Zero developed the feasibility and concept design, and have now handed the project on our Singaporean friends Akre Architects to deliver the project. Situated at the fringe of a tropical nature reserve, this 2-storey good class bungalow is nestled amidst lush greenery. The design ethos of the project revolves around seamlessly integrating natural elements into the architectural form and choice of materials. The use of travertine, granite, earth-toned tiles and wood aid in creating a sense of harmony with its surroundings. The house is elevated on a higher ground with respect to the existing topography of the hilly site.

A very enjoyable morning today in the London School of Architecture @lsofarch – I gave a workshop to MA students talking about environment, energy and passive design in practice. Thanks to the students for agreeing to dress up in coloured t-shirts as heat gains and heat losses and for the excellent questions at the end.
