We are very excited to see the glulam diagrid structure take shape in our Leyton recording studio this week. We have been working closely with Kahle Acoustics to sound proof the studio using a box-in-a-box construction. We (Ross) has had lots of fun detailing an onion like envelope of various acoustic and thermal layers using resilient mason pads to prevent sound transfer from inside to outside. So basically the glulam frame is held up on rubber foundations:)
